A dedicated place to talk
The BaseAi app is the long conversation. New chat, search what you already asked, keep sessions by day. Collections group chats by the work they support: delivery, ops, templates.
An agent connected to the work. Open the BaseAi app, or stay in Projects, Time, WIP, wherever you already are. It can see the record in front of you and act in Base Assist.
An agent on the work. In its own app, and in every app you already use.
The BaseAi app is the long conversation. New chat, search what you already asked, keep sessions by day. Collections group chats by the work they support: delivery, ops, templates.
You do not have to leave the project to work the project. Open BaseAi on a record in Projects, Time, WIP, wherever you are. The agent comes to the work. The work does not have to come to a separate window.
Hours, status, files on the project, who is on the team. It reads what is already in Base Assist. Project files can sit in the conversation so the agent has the source, not a paste you assembled.
It can pull a recap from the project, summarize the week from Time, read open WIP, and work across the apps you have open. Chat is how you talk to it. The point is what it can do on the record.
No detour into a generic assistant that does not know the job. This project, this week, this person. Ask for a tight exec recap or a messy timeline. It is working in Base Assist, not next to it.
A Monday digest of hours still open versus submitted. A Friday status from open WIP. A nudge before receipts close. Recurring work can run without you starting a new chat.
Search across chats. Open a collection when you need the kickoff work in one place. The conversation is part of the work, not a tab you lose.
Open it. Point it at the work. Let it act.
Open
Start a chat in the BaseAi app. Or open BaseAi from Projects, Time, WIP, wherever the work already is. Same agent.
Ask
A status. The week in Time. Standup. A kickoff note. Point it at the project and the files. Simple asks and the messy ones both belong here.
Act
Pull from Projects, Time, and WIP. Write back into the work. Post to a feed. The agent is connected, not stuck in a side chat.
Keep
Save it in a collection. Search when you need it next week. Turn on an automation for the parts of the week that always repeat.
The BaseAi app is home. The same agent opens inside the other apps.
Open BaseAi on the project. Files on that job can sit in the chat. Status, team, and the recap come from the record, not a paste.
Summarize last week's time. See hours still open versus submitted. Prep standup from time that is already in.
Pull open WIP into a Friday client update. The numbers are from the statement. The agent is on the same work.
Work a recap into the project feed from the same conversation. The agent is in Chats the same way it is in Projects.
A kickoff note from the project and the people on it, in the Mail app, without leaving the work.

How the BaseAi app is set up in Base Assist.
No. The BaseAi app is there when you want a long conversation. You can also open BaseAi on the record you are already in. Same agent, connected to the same work.
No. Chat is how you talk to it. BaseAi is an agent connected to the work in Base Assist. It can read the record and act in the apps you already have.
The work in Base Assist that person can already see. Projects, hours, WIP, files on the job. It is not a separate brain that needs a paste of the whole week.
No. BaseAi inherits that person's permissions. If they cannot open a project, a file, or a pay record, the agent cannot either. Protected data stays protected. Your existing roles and admin controls still apply.
Per person, on Light, Standard, or Pro. Each plan caps agent actions for the month. Those caps are in testing and will change if they do not match real use. The other apps it connects to are licensed on their own.
A turn where the agent reads or acts on work in Base Assist. Asking in chat, pulling from a project, running an automation. The exact count is what we are testing.
