New: Explore what's shipping this quarter

Changelog

What shipped in Base Assist to create a better all-in-one platform

26.08.04

Features

  • We got our act together

There is a changelog now. You can stop asking in chat what shipped. Future releases live here, newest first. We will try to keep it current. No promises on the jokes.

  • Project labels, tags, and priorities

Projects can carry labels, tags, and a priority. Status is easier to scan. Exports include the new fields. Templates can set them up once.

  • Mute and mentions in Chats

Mute a conversation when it is noisy. Mention people, @everyone, or @here when it is not. Pushes respect mute unless you were mentioned.

  • Guests can join a meeting

Someone outside the org can request to join. The host admits or denies them. Guests get a token when they are let in. Join requests are rate limited.

  • Surveys

Create a survey, send invitations, and collect responses. Public survey routes are in so you can share a link without a login.

  • File sharing and PDF previews

Share links handle more file types. PDFs show a first-page thumbnail. The file manager has a clearer actions menu and a better layout on a phone.

  • Favorites

Pin the records you keep opening. The API stores favorites per person so the list follows you.

  • Help Desk ticket-only channels

A channel can take tickets without opening live chat. Embed display options sit on the channel. Unread badges show up in the app.

  • Time entries know the client

A time entry can point at a client, not only a project. Expense logs can follow the same record.

  • Canvas and Excel open in a new tab

Open a canvas or spreadsheet without leaving the page you were on. Linked Excel grids are not uploaded again. The editor tears down without crashing on back.

  • Cabinet views for clients and projects

Open Cabinet from a client or a project and see the files that belong there. Connected-app lists for both.

  • Clear notifications in bulk

Delete one notification, or clear a pile of them, without tapping through each one.

Bug fixes

  • One timer at a time

Starting a second timer is rejected if one is already running. The error is clear instead of a mystery double clock.

  • QuickBooks Integration tokens and batches

Status, token refresh, and batch errors are less likely to strand a sync. Expense push to QuickBooks is more careful when a run fails partway.

  • Expense allocation checks

Allocations are validated before they save. File access on those records is tighter.

  • Time off approvals

Notification now correctly get pushed out for the life cycle of the time off request. You can manage your notification settings under your profile settings

  • Unread chat counts

Unread queries and webhook message handling are more reliable, so badges match what is actually unread.
