Keep the file where the work already is
The Cabinet app is files, folders, and Canvas inside Base Assist. A project can hold the job files. A client can hold the client files. You do not leave the system to keep a drive.
Shared Cabinet
The org cabinet. Put the files the company should keep, not the ones that only belong on a job.
Shared with me
When someone shares a file or folder with you or your group, it shows up here. You do not have to hunt for the link.
Files on the job
Open a project or a client and the files are already attached. Same tree from the Cabinet app or from the job.
Share with people or a link
Share with a person or a group as view, contributor, or manager. Or send a unique guest link, public or with a password.
Canvas: documents, grids, decks
Write the brief, the sheet, or the slides inside Base Assist. The file stays in Cabinet, on the project, or on the client.
Open Excel in a Grid
Open a spreadsheet as a Canvas Grid. Keep working in Base Assist. Export the grid when you need Excel again.

The company drive. Templates, policies, and files that are not tied to one job.

- 03Grant view, contributor, or manager to a person or a group.
On the job
Keep it on the project or the client
The files for that job or that client stay on that record. Open them from the job or from Cabinet Connected Apps.

Canvas
Write it in Base Assist
A document, a grid, or a deck is a Cabinet file. Open Excel into a Grid when you already have a sheet.

Connected to the rest of the work
The Cabinet app holds the file. Add the other Base Assist apps when you need the job, the client, or the thread behind it.
Projects
Project files live on the job. Open them from the project, or from Cabinet Connected Apps. Share a unique link without emailing a zip.
CRM
Client files live on the CRM record. The documents for that account stay with the account, not in a side folder named after the client.
Chats
Share a spreadsheet in chat and open it in Cabinet Canvas. The conversation stays on the message. The grid stays in Cabinet.
Pricing
First 200 GB is included. After that, extra storage is $10 per 200 GB / month, billed to the organization, not per person who opens a file.

Extra storage

How the Cabinet app is set up in Base Assist.
No. The Cabinet app is included. Anyone in the organization can open it. You do not assign seats so people can open a file.
The first 200 GB is included for the organization. After that, extra storage is $10 per 200 GB / month, billed to the organization. It is not a seat for each person who opens a file.
No. Personal and shared files live in Cabinet. Files for a job live on the project. Files for an account live on the client. You can open the same tree from the Cabinet app or from the record.
Yes. Send a unique guest link, public or with a password. Guests can browse, download, and open Canvas as view only. They cannot edit.
Canvas is documents, grids, and decks inside Base Assist. Open an Excel file as a Grid and keep working here. A guest link opens Canvas as view only. Word and PowerPoint files download. They do not edit in Canvas.
No. A file on a message stays on the message. If you open a spreadsheet in Canvas, that creates a Grid in your Personal Drawer. The chat still has the original.
