A record for every piece
Laptops, phones, monitors, docks, badges, keys. Name it, tag it, serial number, purchase date, warranty. Available, assigned, in maintenance, or retired.
Keep the inventory, assign the hardware, enroll the computer. People sign in with the same Base Assist password they already use. Lock it, wipe it, or take it back when they leave.
The list of hardware, who has it, and the password they already use.
Laptops, phones, monitors, docks, badges, keys. Name it, tag it, serial number, purchase date, warranty. Available, assigned, in maintenance, or retired.
Hand it to someone in the Workforce app. The asset shows who has it. The person shows what they have. Check it back in when it comes home.
Enrolled computers use the same Base Assist password as the rest of the office. One identity. They do not keep a second local password on a sticky note.
Push the MDM profile, join the device to the company, and see it next to the asset record. Encryption, OS version, and last check-in sit on the same card as the serial.
Assign apps to computers, Apple devices, and Android devices. Push them when the device enrolls, or later from the record. See what is installed on each one.
Lost laptop: lock it. Stolen phone: wipe it. Offboarding: revoke the login and mark the asset available again. The command goes to the device, the record stays here.
Require a passcode, FileVault or BitLocker, a minimum OS, and disk encryption. See which devices are in policy and which ones are not, by person and by group.
Put laptops in one group, phones in another, office keys in a third. Filter by type, status, or who it is assigned to. The closet is a list, not a spreadsheet.
When someone leaves the Workforce app, you see every asset still on them. Revoke the login, lock the computer, and check the hardware back in. Nothing walks out unnoticed.
Add it. Assign it. Enroll it. Recover it.
Add
Create the asset with a tag, serial, type, and group. Available until someone has it. Photos and warranty files sit on the record.
Assign
Pick someone from the Workforce app. The asset is assigned. They now need an Assets seat. Check it back in when it returns.
Enroll
Enroll a computer, an Apple device, or Android. They sign in with their Base Assist password. Assign the apps that belong on that device. Last check-in shows on the asset.
Recover
Lost, stolen, or offboarding. Lock or wipe the enrolled device, revoke the login, and mark the asset available or retired.
The Workforce app holds the people. The Assets app holds what they were given.
Assign equipment to someone in the Workforce app. When they leave, you still see every asset on them, so the laptop and the badge come back.
A broken laptop can open as a ticket in the Help Desk app with the asset already attached. Serial, assignee, and status travel with the request.
A seat is an admin, or anyone assigned equipment.

A seat is anyone licensed for the Assets app: admins who run inventory and MDM, and anyone who has equipment assigned to them. People with no hardware and no admin access do not need a seat. All seats are billed monthly at the rate for your current size. The Workforce and Help Desk apps are licensed separately.
Need more than one app? Estimate a monthly total.
